The steam trap assembly consists of a steam trap, a shut-off valve, a shut-off check valve, and piping. It is primarily used in steam heating systems in industries such as shipping, petroleum, and chemical processing.
Steam traps generally include bimetallic-strip type, free-float type, and lever-float type.
Globe valves and globe check valves are typically available in cast steel, bronze, and stainless steel.
Installation precautions:
1. Prior to installation, the pipeline must be purged with pressurized gas to remove dirt and debris.
2. The valve assembly shall be installed at a lower section of the steam pipeline.
3. Install the valve so that the arrow on the valve body points in the same direction as the fluid flow in the pipeline.
4. To prevent contaminants from entering the steam trap assembly, regularly remove debris from the upstream piping to ensure proper operation of the assembly.
