Pressure-reducing valve assemblies are used in compressed air and steam piping systems, primarily for regulating pipeline pressure and flow.
The pressure-reducing valve assembly consists of a shut-off valve, a shut-off check valve, a pressure-reducing valve, a Y-type strainer, a safety valve, a pressure gauge, piping, and other components.
Installation Precautions
1. Prior to installation, the pipeline must be purged with pressurized gas to remove dirt and debris.
2. Install the valve so that the arrow on the valve body points in the same direction as the fluid flow in the pipeline.
3. Adjust the pressure-reducing valve: first rotate the adjusting screw clockwise to increase the downstream pressure, and counterclockwise to decrease it. Once the desired pressure is set, secure the lock nut. If, during adjustment, the downstream pressure exceeds the target value, reduce the downstream pressure first before readjusting.
