A wave-damping valve, also known as a marine sewage discharge valve, is a side-mounted valve in a ship’s sewage discharge system. It is primarily used to discharge sewage or wastewater while preventing backflow of seawater from outside the hull. Its core design provides one-way check functionality and is suitable for use with seawater, freshwater, and sewage.
Installed at the ship’s side sewage or wastewater discharge outlet, with the inlet connected to the discharge port. The valve disc is externally hinged and opens outward. During drainage, the water pressure inside the pipe automatically lifts the valve disc to allow discharge. When subjected to wind and wave action outside the hull, the valve automatically closes due to external pressure.
Valve body materials include cast steel and bronze. Connection method: flanged connection.
Working pressure: 0.5 MPa
